With a career in water spanning 20 years and 160 countries, Atem has held leadership positions at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water, World Bank, UAE Academy of Leaders in Arab States, Nile River Basin Project, Shell, and the Governments of China, Indonesia, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Suriname and Taiwan; and recently as CEO of Turiya Technologies/CEM Pyramid. As an infrastructure strategist, institutional reform and development expert, network builder and engineer, political lobbyist and environmental activist and dialogue facilitator, he bridges knowledge, exprtise and resources to facilitate positive progress and change. His focus is now on bringing renewable energy to more people. His Mantra is: “Dive right in.”
- HE Jan Peter Balkenende, The Netherlands. Partner, Ernst & Young. Former Prime Minister of the Netherlands (2002-2010). Jan-Peter led four coalition governments, and draws on his extensive global experience as our advisor. He plays a leading role as Partner at Ernst & Young and remains active in various CSR initiatives, and holds a professorship in Governance, Institutions & Internationalisation at Erasmus University Rotterdam. - Henry-Jacques Bakker, The Philippines/The Netherlands. Ex-Communications Director, The Green Exchange. Henry’s experience working with leading banks, brokers, trading firms and environmental and climate exchanges combined with his communications expertise help channel our efforts towards a greater international audience. His Opera & Classical Music Studies, as well as work in the non-profit sector in the Philippines, also add another level of appreciation and value to our “Art & Culture with a Cause” theme.
